The infrastructure your businessruns on, managed proactively.

Network, Wi-Fi, servers, Microsoft 365, cloud platforms, hardware lifecycle, and vendor coordination — managed by a single team that understands how these systems connect and what happens when one of them fails. Available as project-based work or ongoing managed service.

Infrastructure is everything your business runs on before the end user ever touches it.

When the network is slow, employees can't work. When a server fails, applications go offline. When Microsoft 365 is misconfigured, email stops or data leaks. When hardware reaches end-of-life without a replacement plan, a single device failure becomes a business crisis. Infrastructure management means these problems are anticipated, monitored, and addressed — not discovered during an emergency.

Proactive monitoring catches problems before they affect employees
Documented configurations mean failures are recoverable, not catastrophic
Hardware lifecycle planning removes surprise capital expenses
Coordinated management of network, servers, and Microsoft 365 reduces handoff and coordination gaps

What We Manage

Six infrastructure domains, one team

These systems don't operate in isolation — a network misconfiguration affects servers; a server failure affects Microsoft 365; a licensing change affects security. Managing them as a unified environment helps reduce gaps and makes dependencies easier to identify.

Network and Wi-Fi

  • Firewall management and rule review
  • Managed switches — VLANs, QoS, port configuration
  • Wireless access point deployment and management
  • Guest network isolation
  • VPN configuration and access management
  • Network performance monitoring

Servers and Systems

  • Physical and virtual server management
  • Operating system patching and maintenance
  • Active Directory / Entra ID administration
  • File server and storage management
  • Application server support
  • Hypervisor management (Hyper-V, VMware)

Microsoft 365 and Cloud

  • Microsoft 365 tenant administration
  • Exchange Online — mailboxes, groups, routing
  • SharePoint and OneDrive configuration
  • Azure AD / Entra ID management
  • Cloud service vendor coordination
  • Licensing management and optimization

Hardware Lifecycle

  • Hardware inventory and age tracking
  • End-of-life forecasting and replacement planning
  • Procurement coordination
  • Warranty tracking
  • Decommission and secure disposal
  • Budget planning support

Vendor Coordination

  • ISP and connectivity management
  • Software vendor support coordination
  • Hardware vendor relationship management
  • Third-party platform integration support
  • Telecom and phone system coordination
  • Acting as single point of contact for technology vendors

Documentation and Security Integration

  • Network diagram and asset documentation
  • Configuration documentation and change tracking
  • Firewall and access control integration with cybersecurity
  • VLAN segmentation for security isolation
  • Infrastructure inputs to compliance documentation
  • Runbook maintenance for recovery scenarios

Specific scope depends on your environment, existing systems, and service agreement. Edge Secure documents the scope of each domain in writing at the start of the engagement.

Engagement Options

Project-based or ongoing — your choice

Infrastructure work starts with a clear definition of what is project-based (a defined deliverable with an end date) and what is ongoing managed service (continuous monitoring, maintenance, and support).

Project-Based

Defined scope. Fixed timeline. Clear deliverable.

Project work is quoted as a fixed-price engagement with a defined outcome. The project ends when the deliverable is complete. No ongoing commitment required — though many project clients transition to managed service after the project concludes.

New office network buildout — switches, Wi-Fi, firewall, cabling
Server migration — on-premises to cloud or new hardware
Microsoft 365 tenant setup, migration, or remediation
Infrastructure assessment — document existing environment and identify gaps
New location setup — network, devices, Microsoft 365 integration
Hardware refresh — planned replacement of aging servers or network equipment
Security camera and physical security integration with network

Fully Managed

Complete infrastructure ownership

Edge Secure monitors, maintains, and manages the entire infrastructure layer. Proactive monitoring, regular patching, configuration management, hardware lifecycle, and vendor coordination — all under a flat monthly agreement. Infrastructure issues are addressed before they become user-affecting problems.

Co-Managed

Infrastructure layer alongside your internal IT

Your internal IT person handles end-user support and workstations. Edge Secure manages the infrastructure layer — network, servers, Microsoft 365 tenant, firewall, and hardware lifecycle. Roles and responsibilities are defined in writing. No overlap, no gaps.

Advisory

Strategic guidance without day-to-day management

Periodic infrastructure reviews, technology planning input, hardware lifecycle guidance, and vendor evaluation support — without ongoing daily management. For businesses with internal IT capability that want an experienced outside perspective.

What You Receive

Deliverables under managed infrastructure

Network diagram and asset documentation

Complete documentation of your network topology, device inventory, IP addressing, and VLAN structure — maintained as the environment changes.

Proactive monitoring and alerting

Network devices, servers, and cloud systems monitored continuously. Alerts generated before problems become outages.

Configuration change management

All infrastructure changes documented with before/after states. Rollback possible when changes cause issues.

Regular patching and firmware updates

Network devices, servers, and operating systems patched on a defined schedule. Patch status reported.

Microsoft 365 administration

Tenant configuration, user and license management, Exchange, SharePoint, and OneDrive administration.

Hardware lifecycle reporting

Quarterly hardware age and warranty report with end-of-life forecasts and replacement recommendations.

Vendor management

Single point of contact for technology vendors — ISP, hardware, software, telecom, and cloud platforms.

Security-integrated configuration

Infrastructure configured with security posture in mind — VLAN segmentation, access controls, firewall integration, and coordination with cybersecurity services.

Available components depend on the selected engagement model and service agreement. Specific scope is documented at the start of each engagement.

Client Responsibilities

What remains with the client organization

Technology investment decisions

Hardware purchases, software licensing decisions, and technology strategy are business decisions. Edge Secure provides recommendations and implements what is approved.

Access and physical security

Physical access to server rooms, network closets, and infrastructure hardware is the client's responsibility. Edge Secure requires appropriate physical access for on-site work.

Timely approval of changes

Infrastructure changes require client approval before implementation. Delayed approvals may postpone security patches, hardware replacement, or configuration changes.

Employee behavior and acceptable use

Employees who plug unauthorized devices into the network, disable security settings, or share credentials create risks outside the scope of infrastructure management.

Vendor contract decisions

ISP selection, SaaS platform decisions, and major vendor contracts are business decisions. Edge Secure coordinates with vendors but does not sign contracts on the client's behalf.

Business continuity planning

Infrastructure management supports recovery — but decisions about what to recover first, business priorities during an outage, and manual workarounds remain with business leadership.

Infrastructure & Cloud — FAQ

Get Started

Request an Infrastructure Review

Ask about reviewing your network, server and cloud environment and discussing managed infrastructure options. This is an inquiry, not a completed assessment or confirmed appointment. Scope, availability and scheduling are confirmed after follow-up.

A no-obligation conversation; scope and scheduling confirmed after inquiry.
